Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS)

A Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS) is anti-threat software installed on local servers, interpreting outside threats attempting to interface with the inside network, facilitating the defense from an external threat based on the internal network settings and pre-set, CCG-recommended internal server protocols.

CCG’s suite of software products differentiates between malicious outside attempts to enter the network/server and quickly determines if those attempts are legitimate or indicative of an unauthorized breach.

NIDS reports possible breaches to system administrators or to security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
